A.W. Mitchell

A.W. "Pooch" Mitchell,75 of Belvidere passed away Friday March 15,2013
at his home. He was born January 21,1938 in Clark Ridge,Arkansas the son
of Leonard and Lola Jane(Jackson)Mitchell. He married Patricia Louise
Ferguson October 1956 in Belvidere.

A belvidere resident since 1953. He was a supervisor at Champion Packaging
until retiring in 1996. A.W. was a coach for baseball and softball with B.Y.B
for many years,he enjoyed playing guitar and singing with his band,was an avid
St. Louis Cardinals fan and loved to ride his motorcycle.

He is survived by his wife,Patricia Louise Mitchell. Son,Richard Lee(Amanda)
Mitchell,Las Vegas,Nv. Daughter,Kimberly Sue(Russell)Hampton,Belvidere.
9 grandchildren. 7 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents,brother,
James Mitchell,sister,Hazel Bradley. A special thank you to the staff of Swedish American hospital and Serenity Hospice.

Funeral service Tuesday March 19,2013 at 10:00 a.m. in Belvidere Funeral Home
with Rev. Dale Anderson officiating. Interment Belvidere Cemetery. Visitation
Monday at the funeral home from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Memorials to the American Heart Association.
