Amelia Lindahl

Amelia Ann Lindahl, 71, of Poplar Grove, IL passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022, at Javon Bea Hospital in Rockford, IL. She was born on October 18, 1951, in Chicago, IL to the late Anthony and Mary Grace (Folcarelli) Varassi. She graduated from Riverside Brookfield High School in 1969. In 1990, Amy met Kenneth Lindahl in Glendale Heights, IL. They were married on July 6, 1991, in Arizona under the “London Bridge” of Lake Havasu. She was a Chicago Bears Fanatic and a lover of Yellow Labs. In 2000, Amy retired and spent her time as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Amy is loved and will be deeply missed by her beloved husband, Ken; children, Kenny (Sybrena), Chris (Anna), Kaline (Andrew), Carrie (Plamen); grandchildren, Jordin, Salena, Natalie, Nathan, Joshua, Rylee; sister, Marguerite (Dennis) Schroeder; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. There will be a funeral service at Highland Garden of Memories in Belvidere, IL on Monday, November 28, 2022, beginning at 11:00 A.M. A visitation will begin at Highland Garden of Memories at 9:00 A.M. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Amelia’s name to Chron’s and Colitis Foundation which is an organization she felt very strongly about.
