Anna Mae Dale

                Anna Mae Dale, 90 of Garden Prairie, IL passed away November 2, 2023. She was born on April 19, 1933, in Round Lake, IL. The daughter of Edwin & Ann Etten. Anna was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. She was married to William Dale for 45 years and they had 8 children together.

                She was a parishioner of St. James Church, belonging to Catholic Daughters of America. She had a love for singing and sang for Mass. Later in life, she sang with Boyd Houston and the Silver Bells’. She loved Country-Western music, especially Elvis Presley and Loretta Lynn. Her family was her world and she enjoyed spending time with them and babysitting many of her grandchildren. She was the heart of the family and will be missed dearly.

                She is survived by her children, Mary Purvis, Bill Dale, (Vickie Dale), Kathy Long, Rita (Keith) Streit, Jim (Monica) Dale, Patty (Garry) Marshall and Susan (Michael) Golding. Many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin & Ann Etten; husband William Dale; son Richard Dale; son-in-laws Bob Purvis and Dale Long; sister Martha Bond and brothers Joe Etten & Edward Etten.

                The family would like to express their gratitude to the Hospice staff for their care and support.

                Anna’s visitation will be Wednesday, November 8th between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 11:00 A.M. at Belvidere Funeral Home, which is located at 203 Logan Ave, Belvidere, IL. Funeral service to follow at St. James Church located at 402 Church St. Belvidere, IL.
