Anna Wennmacher Obituary

Anna Louise Wennmacher, 89 of Belvidere, IL, passed away on Friday, June 4, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. Daughter of the late Frank and Rosaline (Swygman) Holst, she was born on March 2, 1932 in Lafayette, IN. She married the love of her life, Harry Wennmacher on December 2, 1950 in Lafayette, IN. Ann loved her family and constantly worried about each of them. She was a super mom raising 10 kids, juggling inside chores, and helping run the farm. During her lifetime she was active in and Past President of Catholic Daughters, Women of the Moose, a Director in Sarah Coventry and The Red Hats Society. She worked at The Beacon and at Dodge Lanes. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, and the swimming class with her friends. Ann really enjoyed the annual trips to Reno and Las Vegas with her loving husband Harry, and later with her girlfriends.  She would have loved to have many more of those. The family would like to extend a special thank you to United Hospice and to all of her caregivers. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank & Rosaline; beloved husband, Harry; siblings, Frank Holst, Jack Holst, Betty Gallinger. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 beginning at 11:00 AM at St. James Catholic Church in Belvidere, IL. There will be a visitation on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 from 9:00 A.M. to 10:30 AM at Belvidere Funeral Home & Cremation Service. The family is requesting private visitation from 10:30 AM until the time of service. Interment will take place at Highland Garden of Memories in Belvidere. A memorial fund has been established in the family’s name.
