Antonio "Tony" Crecelius Jr.

Antonio “Tony” Crecelius Jr., 57, of Belvidere passed away Sunday, June 28, 2020. He was born September 20, 1962 in Chicago, IL to Mona “Turner” Crecelius. Tony worked for Jorson & Carlson Co. Inc. Tony’s family was the most important thing to him and he always said FAMILY COMES FIRST!!! Tony loved music and playing the drums. He was also very artistic, he wrote songs/poetry and drew very well. He Some of his favorite bands where 3 doors down, Metallica, Creed, Pink Floyd, Candlebox, Green Day. he loved the outdoors, he loved camping and hiking especially at Starved Rock. He loved going to different caves and caverns and traveling. His favorite city was he hometown of Chicago, he loved it so much. His favorite team was the Chicago Bears. He didn’t really watch many sports, but he always watched the Bears and he supported all his other hometown sports teams. He also loved movies and watching The Three Stooges and Friends (with his daughter).  He is loved and will be missed by his mother, Mona Crecelius; children, Catherine (Bryan Schraven)Colson, Cody Crecelius, and AJ Crecelius; grandchildren, Emilee, Zoey, and Jayden; brother, John (Lisa) Crecelius; sister, Chris Cushing; nephews, Shaun and Floyd; nieces, Tristan and Krystle; great nieces, Kayli, Cadence, Sadie, Carmella, Vira, and Aveah. He is preceded in death by his cousin, Michelle; aunt, Linda; uncle, Mark. There will be a visitation Monday, July 6, 2020 from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the Belvidere Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Belvidere, IL. A service will begin at 6:00 P.M.
