Barbara Joan Blachford, 86, of Belvidere, IL passed away on Friday, February 17, 2023, at her home. She was born on May 29, 1936 to the late Herbert R. and Ruth (Pavey) Glaser in Evanston, IL. She married the love of her life, Donald Blachford, on January 15, 1955 in Belvidere, IL. Barbara is loved and will be deeply missed by her daughters, Nancy (Danny) Pearse, Sue (David) Nordman; grandchildren, Angie (Dave) Ostler, Jacob (Jenni) Pearse, Tyler (Manylay) Pearse, Matt Nordman, Ben Nordman, Julianna Nordman; great grandchildren, Emma Pearse, Sophia Pearse, Hazel Ostler, Owen Ostler, Meghann Ostler; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herb and Ruth; beloved husband, Donald; brothers, Donald Glaser, Richard Glaser, John Glaser. There will be a visitation on Friday, March 3, 2023, at Belvidere Funeral Home & Cremation Service from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. There will be a funeral service on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at the funeral home at 11:00 A.M. A visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Interment in Highland Garden of Memories in Belvidere, IL. Memorials can be made to the family in Barbara’s name.
