Brandon Phillip Jensen, 37, Of Belvidere, IL passed away surrounded by his family after a long battle with his health on Sunday February 4, 2024. He was born on October 18, 1986 in Rockford, IL. The son of Lance and Susan Jensen. He graduated from Belvidere High School, class of 2005. He started his adulthood working at a job that he truly loved, at Sislers Ice in Dekalb driving a truck. His career path took him to his family business in 2015 where he graduated Worsham College of Mortuary Science to become a Funeral Director. He met the love of his life Dana Christine Woldman in 2009 in Dekalb, IL. Their love brought them together in marriage on September 16, 2016 and continued with the birth of their son Landon William on November 23, 2021.
Brandon was a fun loving man who effortlessly could make anyone laugh with his sense of humor and quick wit. Brandon had many endearing nicknames from “pumpkin pants, Charlie Tuna, Brown Bear, Yip, Uncle Bebo, Bran, Lovie, Doll and Daddy.” He loved being in the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and camping. He enjoyed a great adventure of scuba diving and deep-sea fishing. Brandon enjoyed traveling from as far as the Arctic Circle, out West and down to the Key’s when time allowed. Brandon was an avid Bears Fan, even though he always said “there’s always next season…” Brandon loved music and playing his guitars. Most of all Brandon loved spending time with his family, especially his son Landon and Nephew Colin aka “Gene.”
Brandon is survived by his beloved wife, Dana and son Landon William Jensen; mother, Susan M. Jensen; brother, Colin (Meghan) Jensen; nephew, Colin Andrew Jensen II; in-laws, Ginamarie Woldman (Don Kingsmill), Bill (Rosanne) Woldman; brothers-in-law, Bradley (Nina Ramdat) Woldman, Brent James Woldman, Brenden Woldman, Michael (Marissa) Tonkovic and Paul (Sabrina) Tonkovic; several cousins and many friends that are like family. He was proceeded in death by his father and best friend, Lance Archer Jensen; grandparents Landes and Marcille Jensen, and Ronald and Shirley Tidlund; godparents Bob Casper and Theresa Mazer.
There will be a visitation Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at The Belvidere Funeral Home in Belvidere, IL. As Brandon would request everyone to be watching the Super Bowl on Sunday, Mass will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Monday, February 12, 2024 at St. James Catholic Church in Belvidere, IL. Interment in St. James Catholic Cemetery in Belvidere, IL. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Landon Jensen. The Jensen Family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff at UW Health Swedish American Hospital in Belvidere and Rockford.
