Carlos Manuel Contreras, 64, of Rockford, IL passed away Saturday, June 15, 2024. He was born October 10, 1959, in Havana, Cuba to Tomas and Nilda (Garcia) Contreras. Carlos married the love of his life, Lisa Harris in Rockford, IL. He was a highly skilled carpenter and worked for ONSITE Woodwork. Carlos loved woodworking, fishing, roller skating with his wife at Navy Pier, hanging out with his friends, and most of all spending time with his nieces and nephews. He is survived by his brothers, Ulysses T. Contreras, Lazaro T. Contreras; sister, Ivonne Cubas; sister-in-law, Lynn (David) Durham; nephews, David (Melissa) Durham, Eric (Jenny) Durham, Cody (Jacki) Durham; niece, Vanessa Saenz.
