Charles Shacklee

Charles Maurice Shacklee, 82, of Belvidere, IL passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Alden Debes Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Rockford, IL. The son of the late Jerome and Alice (Fruth) Shacklee, he was born on Sunday, September 6, 1936. He married the love of his life, Geneva Goetz, on Saturday, May 14, 1955 in Belvidere, IL. Charles is loved and will be deeply missed by his sons, Gary Shacklee, Chuck (Mary) Shacklee, Colleen (Bill) Brokamp; grandchildren, Rudy (Christy) Trevino, Dan Trevino, Mike Shacklee, Josh (Nicole Schumaker) Shacklee, great grandchildren, Cole, Charlie, Lilly; brother, Owen Shacklee; sister, Eva (Leroy) Koltz; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife, Geneva; brother, William Shacklee. There will be a visitation from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at Belvidere Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Belvidere, IL. A funeral service will begin at 4:00 P.M. with Pastor Dina Lauman officiating. A memorial fund has been established in the family’s name.
