Clinton L. Powell 74 of Belvidere Il died Wednesday August 15, 2012 at home. He was born January 24, 1938 in Fennimore, WI the son of the late Charles & Lorraine (Porter) Powell. Clinton married Karen Wilson on August 21, 1964 in Madison, WI. He retired from the Belvidere Chrysler Plant after 32 years. He was a musician and played with several bands in the area he had a great love for music and enjoyed woodworking. He is survived by his wife Karen, 3-daughters; Kathryn (Sam) Lampe of Murfreesboro, TN, Linda Powell of Belvidere, Patricia (John) Bottorff of Loves Park IL, son Daniel (Theresa) Powell of Wonder Lake, IL, sister Jeri (Chuck) Daringer of Belvidere, 4-brothers; Bruce (Diane) Powell of Aurora, IL, Garold Powell of WI, Duane (Crystal) Powell & Bill (Sonja) Powell of Poplar Grove, IL, 10 grandchildren and 4-great grandchildren. His request was to have no public service; his family will have a private burial in the Belvidere Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in his memory.
