Coy Baxter Lowery

Coy Baxter Lowery, 92, of Rockford, IL passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at his home. Son of the late Hezekiah and Eldora (Erwin) Lowery he was born on May 1, 1926 in Greeneville, TN. He married the love of his life, Barbara Burd, on October 26, 1946 in Belvidere, IL. Coy is loved and will be missed by his daughters, Ella Maggert, Cheryl (Ray Fraser) Stiltner; sons, Wayne (Dawn) Lowery, Milton (Mary) Lowery; 18 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Coy was preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife, Barbara; siblings, Andrew, Winifred (Dixie), James, Juanita. There will be a visitation on Thursday, March 28, 2019 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Belvidere Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Belvidere, IL. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, March 29, 2019 at the funeral home. Interment at Highland Garden of Memories in Belvidere, IL. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in the family’s name.
