Delores LaVonne Carlisle (Dee)

Originally from Indianapolis, IN. Surviving sister Marianne from FL. The family moved to Richmond Indiana when she was 11.  She Graduated from Richmond High School in 1946. One of five young women chosen to train as Dental Technicians at Bethesda Naval Hospital after High School. She chose to study at Indiana University School of Nursing in Indianapolis, where she graduated and worked until she met M.J. (Joe) Carlisle, her future husband, in 1950.  

She worked as an RN within the hospital at IUPUI. Having worked with patients during the Polio pandemic.  Moving to Belvidere in 1950 after marrying M.J. Carlisle.  Her children were Tom, Jeff, Julianne and Jaynanne. Carrying duties as full-time wife and mother to our family she was also involved withinthe community. Boone County Medical Auxiliary, Methodist Church and Belvidere High School Nursing Scholarshipprogram. 

Her grandchildren are Matt Carlisle, Emily Carlisle ,Tim Koritz, Jon Koritz, Scott Koritz, Gillian Montgomery, Ryan Montgomery, Kathryn Carlisle. Great Grama Dee greeted great-grandchildren, Staton, Huxley, Della, Robert, Carson, Trevor, Margaux.
