Dennis L. Williamson

Dennis L. Williamson, 74 of Belvidere, IL, passed away at home Wednesday, January 24, 2024 surrounded by his family. He was born on May 16, 1949 in Savanna, IL. The son of the late James L. and Nola (Pannell) Williamson. He graduated from Mount Carroll High School and then served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He married the love of his life, Jeanne E. Cummings on June 16, 1972, at Mount Carroll Baptist Church. He was a hard worker who retired from Chrysler after 42 years. Dennis was a member of the Belvidere American Legion. He was a Chicago Bears, Cubs fan and loved old cars. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, crosswords and Sudoku. He was an avid birder. He even became a converted cat lover over the years. Most of all he loved to spend time with his family. Dennis is loved and will be missed by his beloved wife, Jeanne; daughters, Denise Williamson, and Lisa (Rick) McClenthen; brothers, Jim (Susan) Williamson, Dan (Jackie) Williamson.
