Edith (Eydie Kay) Kaye Hudson-Hamblin, 77, of London KY, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 7, 2026, at UK Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington, KY. She was born June 27, 1948, in Plum Orchard, West Virginia, “Fayette County”. The daughter of Ralph and Lorraine (Settle) Pauley. Eydie moved to Belvidere, IL, when she was 15 years old and lived and worked there until she retired to London, KY. She loved her fur baby, Missy, watching NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhart Jr., bowling, and playing softball for the Betty Brenner Softball Team in Belvidere. She is loved and will be missed by her husband, Garland Hamblin; daughter, Lori Hudson (Paul) Janowski; grandchildren, Holly and Joseph Janowski; sisters-in-law, Peggy Pauley and Janette Pauley; several nieces, 2 nephews, and beloved fur baby, Missy. She was preceded in death by her infant sister, Mary Jane Pauley; parents; first husband, Quinn Hudson; siblings, Ralph Jr., Janice Stephenson, Samuel Pauley, Sherman Pauley, and Robert Pauley. There will be a visitation Friday, March 27, 2026, from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Belvidere Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Belvidere, IL. A celebration of life will begin at 11:00 A.M. Inurnment in Belvidere Cemetery in Belvidere, IL. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Condolences can be shared with the family at www.belviderefh.com.
