Ervey Romero

Ervey B. Romero, 77, of Belvidere, IL, passed away suddenly on Thursday, December 12, 2019. He was born on Sunday, April 5, 1942 in Obayos, Coahuila, Mexico to the late Merardo and Augustina (Barron) Romero. Ervey married the love of his life, Dina Martinez, on Saturday, September 20, 1964 in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico. He worked at the Belvidere Chrysler Assembly Plant for many years and was also a musician. Ervey really enjoyed playing the harmonica, loved to make people laugh, but most of all enjoyed being with his family. Ervey is loved and will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Dina; sons, F. Ervey Romero, Eric Romero, Juan A. (Amber Rodden) Romero; daughters, Veronica (Moises) Rosas, Nora (Jose) Berumen, Thelma (Rolando) Perez-Romero; grandchildren, J. Andrew Berumen, Audrey Berumen, Amanda Kenney, Ariell Berumen, Joselyn F. Rosas, Moises Rosas Jr., Abigail Kenney, Sara M. Rosas, Jaden Berumen, Isabella Romero, Jordan Berumen, Eric E. Romero II, Enely E. Romero, Mara G. Perez, Hannah V. Perez, Natalia Romero, Anthony J. Romero; 5 great grandchildren; sister, Guillermina Romero; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings. There will be a visitation on Thursday, December 19, 2019 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Belvidere Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 20, 2019 beginning at 10:00 A.M. at St. James Catholic Church in Belvidere, IL. Interment in St. James Catholic Cemetery in Belvidere, IL. A memorial fund has been established in the family’s name.
