Eugene Francis Goodwin

Eugene Francis Goodwin,71 of Garden Prairie passed away Friday September
14,2012 at Medina Nursing Center Durand,Il. He was born May 28,1941 in
Portage,Wisconsin the son of Glen and Bertha(Hakes)Goodwin. He married Shirley
Walker June 4,1966 in DuBuque,Iowa. Eugene was a Machinist for Arnold Engineering in Marengo from 1966 until retiring in 2003. After retiring he drove
Expedite truck for Straight Shot Express and then worked as a greeter for
Sam's Club. He was a member of the Harvard Moose Lodge for over 35 years.
A member of the International Association of Machinists Union,where he was
very active and held several offices. He is survived by his Wife Shirley Goodwin,
Garden Prairie. Sons,Todd(Deborah)Goodwin,San Antonio,Tx.,Troy(Trina)
Goodwin,Pecatonica. Daughter,Kelly Oltmanns,Garden Prairie. Grandchildren,
Nicholas Goodwin,Jacob Oltmanns,Kaya,Eden and Chloe Goodwin. Great
Grandchildren,Kylie and Marlie Oltmanns. Brother,Gail(Linda)Goodwin,E. Moline,Il. Sisters, Loretta(Wally)Pichelman,Racine,Wi.,Donna(Ronald)
Knull,Walworth,Wi. Numerous Nieces and Nephews and special Nephew,Roger
(Linda) Rozell. Preceded in death by his parents,3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Memorial Service Wednesday September 19,2012 at 11:00 a.m. in Belvidere
Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Kolb,Pastor Faith Community Church of Davis,IL.
officiating. Interment Garden Prairie Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday from 4:00 p.m.
