Loving Wife,Mother and Grandmother


Evelyn J. Shiroda,85,of Belvidere passed away Saturday June 22,2013 at her
home in the loving arms of her children. She was born November 17,1927 in Belvidere the daughter of Ernest and Florence(Pinne)Stroup. She attended Belvidere schools. On December 14,1946 she married the love of her life, John F. Shiroda at St. James Catholic church in Belvidere,he preceded her in death March 5,1987.

Evelyn was a homemaker and worked as an inspector for CamCar Textron for
many years. She was an avid bowler,she enjoyed going to the Keenage Center in Belvidere and loved to play cards with her family and grandkids. Evelyn fought a
long and courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis and participated in a clinical
study for this disease for over 6 years.

She is survived by her son,Daniel(Connie)Shiroda,Poplar Grove. Daughters,Linda
(Jerry)Rosecke,Belvidere,Patricia(Rob)Zuck,Belvidere,Paulette(William)Bryan,
Belvidere,Beth(David)Park,Rockford,Susan(Anthony)Sawchuk,Loves Park.
Grandchildren,Denise Schultz,Darla(Chris)Crescenzo,Andrea(Chris Leseberg)
Nelson,Kathy(Tod)Luxton,Amy(Ben McKenna)Zuck,Michael(Marianne)Shiroda,
Jeremy(Brandi Chudoba)Shiroda,Renee(Dustin)Printz,Zachary Sawchuk,Blake Sawchuk.
17 Great Grandchildren. 5 Great Great Grandchildren. Numerous Nieces and Nephews. Special friend,Isias (Danielle)Tapia. She was preceded in death by her parents,husband ,brothers,Louis Winters and Clarence Stroup,sister,Ruth Goodnite,grandson,Matthew Zuck,great grandson,Caleb Crescenzo,Son in law,Garry Marsh. A special thank you to Heartland Hospice for their kind and compassionate care.

Mass of Christian Burial Friday June 28,2013 at 11:00 a.m. in St. James Catholic Church with Rev. John Earl,Parochial Vicar officiating. Interment Highland Garden of Memories. Visitation Friday at Belvidere Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Memorials to the family.
