Frances L. Mackey

Frances L. Mackey, 87, of Belvidere, IL passed away peacefully at her home Saturday, July 9, 2022. She was born December 1, 1934, in Rockford, IL. The daughter of the late Arthur C. and Lena (Bowman) Jacobsen. She lived in Illinois, Washington, and Michigan before graduating from Belvidere High School. Fran married the love of her life, Earl G. Mackey on September 3, 1955, at St. James Church in Belvidere. Together, they built a home filled with love and laughter. Where for over 65 years, friends and family gathered for many wonderful meals and conversations. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church and a Catholic Daughter. She is loved and will be missed by her children, Steven (Sue) Mackey, Patricia Mackey, and Susan (Alan) Bontjes; grandchildren, Michael Mackey, Kelsey Mackey, and Jack Bontjes; great grandson, Zander Mackey; beloved cat, Larry “The Three Legged Lion”. She is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Earl G. Mackey. There will be a Funeral mass at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 15, 2022, at St. James Catholic Church in Belvidere, IL. There will be a visitation from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. at the Belvidere Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Belvidere, IL. Interment in Highland Garden of Memories in Belvidere, IL.
