Frederick “Fred” Forest Livingston, Jr., 50, of Belvidere, IL, passed away tragically on March 31, 2023, doing something he loved and that was listening to and attending live metal shows. Fred was born on July 6, 1972, in Elgin, IL to Frederick and Carolyn (Skogseth) Livingston. Fred truly had a love for music, especially heavy metal. In Fred’s early days, he was in a band called Bloody Stump. Fred loved to write music and record his drum and guitar beats. Fred’s favorite band was Slayer. Fred was also a car enthusiast. Fred owned a 1967 GTO that he restored. Fred called his car Doug. If you live in Belvidere, you probably saw him driving that never dirty bright red shiny car through town or displaying it proudly at a car show. Fred was the kind of guy that could talk to anyone. He would make you feel like the most important person in the room. Fred was witty, funny, giving, willing to help anyone, charming, and charismatic. He would light up a room when he entered it. Fred absolutely loved being a dad, grandpa, and uncle. Fred’s favorite food and fastest place to his heart (and stomach) was sandwiches. Fred is loved and will be deeply missed by his sons, Alexander (Ivette) Johnson, Freddie (Bri) Livingston III, Shane Livingston; mother, Carolyn Livingston; sister, Deanna (James) Hicks; grandchildren, Sophia, Junior, Charlotte, Izzy, Frederick IV; nieces, Jessica Schuldt, Brittany (Jack) Mills, Kaitlyn (Michael) Schuldt; nephews, David (Jessica) Schuldt, James (Shelby) D. Hicks III; Jacob (Tina) Schuldt; great niece and nephews, Aubrey, Adam, Jack Jr., James IV. Fred had many friends. However, his best friends were Mike, Rob, and Blah. Fred was preceded in his death by his father, Frederick Sr; sister, Debra Schuldt. We will be celebrating Fred’s life on Saturday, July 8, 2023, from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm at the Boone County Conservation – Spencer Park in Belvidere, Illinois. Our hearts are truly touched by the outpouring of love through donations from his metal brotherhood, Belvidere community, family, and friends to his go fund me page. We have exceeded the goal and are so grateful. Please consider donating to one of the other victims from this tragic night.
