George Franklin Graves, 88, of Belvidere, IL passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2023. He was born in Chicago, IL on September 4, 1934 to the late George Harold and Mina June (Taylor) Graves. George married the love of his life, Marjorie, on April 16, 1965 in Belvidere, IL. George is loved and will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Marjorie; son, Gary Graves; sister in law, Karen Hays. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Mina; siblings, Charles Graves, Charlotte Pratt. There will be a funeral service on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Belvidere Funeral Home & Cremation Service beginning at 1:00 P.M. A visitation will begin at 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. Interment will be private. Memorials can be made to Northern Illinois Hospice or First United Methodist Church in Belvidere, IL in George’s name.
