Gerald "Jerry" Gordon Armbruster

Gerald “Jerry” Gordon Armbruster, 89, of Belvidere, IL, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 29, 2025, surrounded by his family at his home. He was born July 30, 1935, in Belvidere, IL. The son of Harry and Ruth (Leonard) Armbruster. He graduated from Belvidere High School and then went on to serve our country in the United States Navy. Jerry married the love of his life, Joanne Irene Giusti February 14, 1960, at St. James Catholic Church in Belvidere. He was a heavy equipment operator for the Local 150. He loved trap shooting and was proud to be a heavy equipment instructor for the Local 150. He is loved and will be missed by his children, Jeff (Tammy) Armbruster, Bret (Becky) Armbruster, Kari (Tom) Hyser, Scott (Missy) Armbruster; grandchildren, Nate (Nicole), Jenna, Alyssa, Aaron (Sarah), Samantha (Jake), Amy (Andrew), Leanne, Nicole (Jared) Chad; great-grandchildren, Titus, Addison, Cole, Evie. He was preceded in death by his parents and beloved wife, Joanne. The family would like to thank OSF Hospice for their compassion and care.
