Geraldine L. Sherwin,90 of Belvidere passed away Monday October 29,2012 at
Maple Crest Care Centre,Belvidere. She was born August 17,1922 in Boaz,Wi.
the daughter of Leon W. and Gladys(Paulson)Nevel. She attended Garden Prairie Grade School,Marengo High School and graduated from Belvidere High School.
She married the late Earl Lange and then Elwood Sherwin who also preceded her in death. Geraldine worked at Arnold Engineering in Marengo for many years. A
member of St. John's Lutheran Church,Union,Il. Survivors include her son,Robert
(Carlene)Lange,Cullman,Al. Step son,Gary(Jan)Sherwin,Marengo. Daughters,
Debbie(Greg)Leonard,Belvidere,Peggie(Glen)Niemeier,Belvidere. Grandchildren,
Joshua,Jacob,Brian,Kevin,Jamie,Brian. Great Grandchildren,Vivian,Kailey,Marlo,
Owen. Brother,Leon Nevel,Florida. Sisters,Marlene(Robert)McGee,Livermore,Ca.,
Veda(Jack)Fearn,Whitewater,Wi.,Charlene Kugath,Marengo. She was preceded in
death by her parents,husbands,brothers,Lyle Nevel and Lloyd Nevel,Sister,Bern Lee. A special thank you to the nurses and staff at Maplecrest Care Centre and Dr.
Anthony Molinari for their kind and compassionate care. Funeral Service Friday
November 2,2012 at 10:30 a.m. in St. John's Lutheran Church,Union,with Rev. Caleb Schauer,pastor officiating. Interment Highland Garden of Memories.
Visitation Thursday at Belvidere Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
