Gloria A. Ihrke, 84, of Rockford, IL passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2020 at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL. She was born on Wednesday, July 31, 1935 in Rockford, IL to the late Roy H. and Eva (Nordfeldt) Carlson. She married the love of her life, Leonard W. Ihrke on Sunday, June 27, 1971 in Belvidere, IL. Gloria is loved and will be deeply missed by her children, Vernon (Chris) Overall, Kristine (Monty Williams) Peterson, Lisa (Russ) Slagle; grandchildren, Dustin Peterson, Chad Slagle, Ben Peterson, Breanna (Matt) Alley; great grandchildren, Evie, Ellie, Gabby, Maddie; brother Gary L. Carlson; a special friend she met late in life, and her dog buster. She was preceded in death by her parents. There will be a visitation on Sunday, August 16, 2020 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Belvidere Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Belvidere, IL. A memorial fund has been established in the family’s name.
