Harold Eugene Hall, 79, of Machesney Park, IL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 2, 2022, surrounded by his family. He was born on March 11, 1943, in Hayti, Missouri, to the late Harold C. and Mary (Marley) Hall. Harold grew up picking cotton on the farm with his siblings. Harold proudly served his country in The United States Army during the Vietnam war. He was drafted in the Army and was among the first troops to land in Vietnam in December 1965. A resident of Machesney Park, IL for 51 years he owned his own business, Hall Exteriors which he retired from. He was a world traveler, loved adventure, walking the beach and rarely missed a day at the gym. He loved watching sports, playing golf, playing chess, and eating ice cream. Most of all, he loved his family, especially his kids and grandchildren. Harold is loved and will be deeply missed by his son, Anthony (Julie) Hall; daughters, Rachel (Adam) Kell, Heather (Jim) Wang; grandchildren, Sydney, Cameron, Abraham, Addison, Marley, Lillian, Lukas; sisters, Beverly (George) Bialkowski, Carol Hall, Regina “Diane” (Mike) Wilson. He was preceded in death by his parents. A service will begin at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Belvidere Funeral Home & Cremation Service at 203 Logan Ave. in Belvidere, IL. A visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. until the time of service. Interment will be held at Highland Gardens of Memories in Belvidere, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Oscar Mike Foundation.
