Harold “Hal” Marsden Booth Jr., 93, of Belvidere, IL, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2025, peacefully at Symphony Northwoods in Belvidere. He was born March 28, 1931, in Chicago, IL, the son of Harold M. Sr and Dorothy (Schummer) Booth. Hal served our country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked at several printing companies as part of the Graphics Communications Union, and married the love of his life Gloria (Jacobson) on September 15, 1951 in Chicago, IL. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and golfing, as well as spending time with his family, especially at the vacation home in St. Germain, Wisconsin. He is loved and will be missed by his wife of 73 years, Gloria; children, Karen (Ted) Fritzler, Linda (the late Mike) Kennedy, Chris (Jackie) Booth; grandchildren, Nicole (Jeff) Ruiz, Amber, Bryanna; great grandchildren, Ava, Axel; He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Joyce (John) Bauer, Don (Marilyn) Booth. There will be a celebration of life Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at The Belvidere Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Belvidere, IL. A service will follow at 12:00 P.M.
