Helen L. Chaplin,92 of Belvidere passed away Tuesday April 23,2013 at
Homebridge Center,Belvidere. She was born July 14,1920 in Scottsburg,Indiana
the daughter of Basil J. and Julie(Lampkin)Strouse.
She graduated from high school in Kingston,Il. Married Clifford Chaplin October
1966 in Belvidere. A member of First United Methodist Church,Belvidere. A
member of the United Methodist Women. Helen lived in Genoa for many years and worked for the schools there,then she moved to Belvidere and worked at the National Sewing Machine Company for 18 years,then worked for T&D Metal and
Green Giant.
She is survived by her son,Gary Meyers,Belvidere. Brothers,Clyde Strouse,Rochelle,
Clinton Strouse,Oregon. Sister,Patricia Campbell,Machesney Park. Several nieces
and nephews. Close friends,Linda Reese and Elaine Brockman. Preceded in death by her parents,stepmother,Clara Collyear,husband,brothers,Lyle & Lynrd Strouse.

Funeral Service Monday April 29,2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Belvidere Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Crone,pastor of First United Methodist Church officiating. Visitation
Monday at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Interment Garden Prairie Cemetery.
