Helen F. Gask

Helen F. Gask 96, of Rockford Il died Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Wesley Willows Nursing Home in Rockford. She was born July 5, 1916 in Belvidere, the daughter of the late Frank & Helen (Hills) Swanson. She married Clarence Gask on December 6, 1941 in Belvidere; he died June 14, 1991. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Belvidere. Helen loved to travel with her husband spending time in Florida & the Smokey Mountains. She had grown up on a farm. Helen was an excelent cook and enjoyed sewing. She is survived by her two sons, Bryan Gask of Rockford & John Gask of Rockford; two Grandchildren Jason & Kevin Gask; and her beloved cat Snooz. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Avis Swanson, & brother Hillis Swanson. Graveside service will be held on Friday, March 29, 2013at 11:00 AM in the Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery in Rockford. Memorials can be sent to the Rock House for Kids 13257th St. Rockford IL.
