Ikuko Coke, age 73 of Rockford, IL, passed away Friday, September 6, 2013 at home. She was born May 21, 1940 in Osaka, Japan. She married William Coke March 19, 1982 in Clearwater, FL; he passed away March 31, 2002. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Rockford. Ikuko enjoyed cooking, arts & crafts, sewing, and was known for making jewelry. She is survived by five daughters, Patricia Longtin of Clearwater, FL, Jessica (Todd) Sullivan of Rockford, Kathy (Reid) Zeigler of Lansdale, PA, Renae (Greg) Ford of Ft. Wayne, IN, and Sherry Hoda of Manassas, VA; two sons, Larry Coke of Pelkie, MI and Edward (Lola) Coke of Chicago, IL; and thirteen grandchildren, Alissa Longtin, Ella Longtin, Abbey Sullivan, Mattie Sullivan, Gretchen Albanese, Holly Zeigler, Kerry Zeigler, Adrian Hoda, Armin Hoda, Thomas Coke, Sara Coke, Rhell Ford, and Brooke Ford. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband. The funeral service will be held Monday, September 9, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Belvidere Funeral Home. There will be a one hour visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Internment will take place at the Cherry Valley Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established.
