Irene Colson

Irene June Colson, 86, of Belvidere, IL passed away on December 9, 2023, at her home. She was born on June 7, 1937, in Schaumburg, IL to the late Alvin and Ruth (Papenbrok) Botterman. She married the love of her life, David Colson on September 16, 1967, in Huntley, IL. Irene is loved and will be deeply missed by her son, Greg (Melinda) Colson; daughter, Stacy (Darin) Kolls; grandchildren, Andrew (Melissa) Myers, Matthew Colson, Sarah Colson; great grandson, Miles; brother, Ronald Botterman. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin, and Ruth; beloved husband, David; sisters, Mary Botterman, Doris Martin. There will be a funeral service at Belvidere Funeral Home & Cremation Service on Friday, December 15, 2023, beginning at 12:00 P.M. A visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. and continue until the time of service. Interment in Shattucks Grove Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the family in Irene’s name.
