Janice Irene Shattuck, 87, of Rockford, IL, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2024 at Northwoods Care Center in Belvidere, IL. She was born January 27, 1937 in Rockford, IL to Lief and Irene (Johnson) Gulbrantson. She married the love of her life, Willard Frederick Shattuck August 19, 1961. Janice was a bookkeeper for The Flower Bin in Belvidere for many years. She enjoyed making ceramics and diamond art. Janice was known as the reigning cribbage champion in her family and loved to watch old western movies. She is loved and will be missed by her children, Bryan (Tammi) Shattuck, Paula (David) Smedegard, Jennifer (Bradley) Trylong; grandchildren, Athena Shattuck, Alex (Tiffany) Shattuck, Alisha (Jesse) Carpenter, Terri (Weston) Erickson, Dwayne Smedegard, Joshua (Catherine Canciamille) Miller, Nathan (Amanda) Miller; great grandchildren, Roman, Lincoln, Taevin, Leo, Laurel; sister, Karen (Bob) Taylor; numerous nieces nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Willard; sister, Joyce Altendorf; brother, Donnie Gulbrantson. There will be a visitation Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the Belvidere Funeral Home in Belvidere, IL. A service will begin at 11:00 A.M.
