Jean A. Farina,86 of Belvidere passed away Saturday August 4,2012 at
OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. She was born January 25,1926 in Belvidere,Il.
The daughter of John A. and Agnes(Holsker)DeWane. Jean attended St. James Catholic School and Graduated from Belvidere High School. She married Benjamin M. Farina May 25,1947 at St. James Church,Belvidere. Jean was a partner in The DeWane Livestock Exchange,in 1947 Jean and her husband Benny owned and operated Jean & Benny's Restaurant on route 20. They also ran Benny's Pizza for several years and the Family Funland Go_kart Track. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church. A life member of the Zonta Club,Life member of V.F.W. John Hugo Kaiser Post 1461 auxillary,Life member of St. Joseph Hospital Auxillary,Life member of Maplecrest Nursing Home Auxillary,Belvidere Moose Lodge# 295 and The Red Hat Society. Survivors include her son,Dana(Rhonda)

Mass of Christian burial Wednesday August 8,2012 at 11:00 a.m. in St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Brian A. Geary,pastor officiating. Interment St. James
Catholic Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday at Belvidere Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. A memorial is being established in her memory.
