Jerry Murdock

Jerry Franklin Murdock, 66, of Belvidere, IL passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was born on September 5, 1956, to James and Mary (Carmack) Murdock. He married the love of his life, Kim Ricker, on March 2, 1996, in Rockton, IL. Jerry was a very devoted and hardworking man working for Camcar/Acument for the last 50 years. Jerry was a very loving, caring, adventurous, funny and outspoken man. He loved being outdoors, camping, riding in his RZR, fishing, riding his Harley Davidson, but most of all spending time with his family. Jerry was a huge animal lover and spent years volunteering at Summerfield Zoo with Rick and Tammy Anderson. Jerry is loved and will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 26 years, Kim; mother, Mary Murdock; children, Jeremiah Murdock, Kelly (Thomas) Bommanto, Kyle (Crystal) Murdock, Shanell (Jason) Hoppe, Jacob (Mariah) Patty; grandchildren, Julianne, Michelle, Macy, Jonathon, Thomas, Anthony, Alexander, Isabella, Carter, Marley, Mason, Claire. He was preceded in death by his father, James Murdock. He will all so be deeply missed from special friendships with, Ron (Sara) Boxrudll, Mark (Sharon) Zumbragel, and Brian (Tiffany) Flood. There will be a funeral service at 11:00 A.M. at Belvidere Funeral Home & Cremation Service on Monday, February 20, 2023. A visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M. until the time of service. Interment will take place at Shattuck Grove Cemetery in Belvidere, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family to be used for one of Jerry’s favorite charities.
