Joan Schneider

Joan Marie Schneider, 87, of Belvidere, IL passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, IL. She was born on August 20, 1935, in Chicago, IL to the late Charles and Rose (Gordon) Cognac. She married the love of her life, Donald Schneider on July 19, 1958. Joan is loved and will be deeply missed by her son, Michael (Mary) Schneider; daughters, Patricia (Brian) Diffy, Deborah (Michael) Lutka, Barbara Franzen; grandchildren, Ronald Baker, Sandra (Dan) Sullivan, Megan (Michael) Russo, Jeffrey Lutka, Olivia (Dan Morris) Schneider, Rebecca (Shawn Garrett) Lutka, Georgia (Connor) Schneider - Mundt, Brian (Amanda) Diffy Jr., Eric (Brandi) Diffy, Corrie (Jesus) Salgado; great grandchildren, Madison, Paityn, Aryana, Dante, Charlie. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles, and Rose; beloved husband, Donald; siblings, Rosemary, Rita, Charles, Margaret Ann, Theresa. There will be a visitation on Monday, December 12, 2022, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Belvidere Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Belvidere, IL. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at St. James Catholic Church in Belvidere, IL beginning at 11:00 A.M. Interment will take place in Belvidere Cemetery in Belvidere, IL. Memorials can be made to the family in Joan’s name.
