Jose Alberto Gloria, 79, of Belvidere, IL passed away on Friday, August 25, 2023. He was born on July 27, 1944, in Rio Bravo, Coahuila, Mexico to the late Jose B and Manuela (Lopez) Gloria. He married the love of his life, Concepcion Jimenez on December 26, 1965, in Allende, Coahuila, Mexico. Jose is loved and will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, Concepcion; sons, Jose A. (Cristina) Gloria, Sergio Gloria; daughters, Adanary Gloria, Mireya (Francisco Javier) Lara; 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren; brothers, Humberto (Sylvia) Gloria, Desiderio Gloria. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Manuela; sister, Blanca Margarita Reyes. There will be a visitation on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Belvidere Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Belvidere, IL. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, beginning at 11:00 A.M. at St. James Catholic Church in Belvidere, IL. There will be a second visitation prior to Mass from 9:30 to 10:30 at Belvidere Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Belvidere, IL. The inurnment will take place at a later date.
