Josephine P. Garrigan

Josephine P. Garrigan,102 ,of Belvidere passed away Sunday October 6,2013 at
Presence Cor Mariae in Rockford. She was born March 12,1911 in Elgin,Illinois the
daughter of William and Catherine(Seisser)Huddlestun. She graduated from St. James Catholic School and Belvidere High School. She married William J. Garrigan
in 1932.

Josephine worked as an operator for GTE for 16 years. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church,Belvidere. A member and Past Grand Regent of the Catholic Daughters. She was a volunteer at St. Joseph Hospital for 29 years.
Josephine loved to do quilting,crotchet ,embroidery and baking. And most of all she
enjoyed spending time with her children,grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons,William R.(Marcia)Garrigan,Muskegon,Mi.,Dr. George
A.(Susan)Garrigan,Middletown,Va. Daughters,Sharon(Robert A.)Hyland,Rockford
,Sally Garrigan,Belvidere,Patricia(Mike) Whitemore,Rockford. 15 grandchildren. 36 great Grandchildren. 7 great great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, husband,daughter,Sandra Levey,2 sisters,3 brothers.

Mass of Christian Burial Friday October 11,2013 at 10:30 a.m. in St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Brian A. Geary ,pastor,officiating. Interment St. James Catholic Cemetery. Visitation Thursday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Memorials to: Hospice Care of America,3815 N. Mulford,Rockford,Il. 61114.
