Judith Marie McGraw, 68, of Belvidere, IL passed away Thursday, April 16, 2020 at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL. She was born February 5, 1952, in Janesville, WI to the late Donald and Violet (Brooks) Callahan. She graduated from Belvidere High School, married her high school sweetheart, Michael McGraw, on June 2, 1971, in Amarillo, TX. She loved raising her kids, building her real estate business, teaching catechism classes at the church, having fun with her friends, and sinking her toes in the sand. She later received her Bachelor’s degree from Judson College so she could open up another business of her own. Judy loved her husband, children, grandchildren, large extended family, countless friends, faith and the beach. Judith is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth (Robert) Bowler, Sara (Nic) Thornton; son, Patrick (Holly) McGraw; grandchildren, Liberty, Irelyn, and Everly Thornton, Violet Jean Bowler, baby McGraw on the way; sisters, Diane (David) Margis, Cathy (Ron) Ross; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Violet; beloved husband, Michael; infant daughter, Christina Sobok McGraw. Services will be private. A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at Boone County Historical Museum at 314 S. State St. in Belvidere, IL from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. A memorial fund has been established in the family’s name.
