June Lindahl

June H. Lindahl, 91, of Rockford, IL passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023. She was born on February 20, 1932, in Chicago, IL, to the late Oscar and Evelyn (Thorsen) Erickson. She married the love of her life, Norman Lindahl, on September 30, 1950, in Chicago, IL. June enjoyed ceramics, bowling, gardening, but most of all being with her family. June is loved and will be deeply missed by her son, Kenneth Lindahl; grandchildren, Kenneth (Sybrena) Lindahl, Christopher (Anna) Lindahl, Kaline (Andrew) Gillespie, Carrie (Plamen) Benkov, Vanessa Lindahl; great grandchildren, Jordin Lindahl, Salena Lindahl, Rylee Lindahl, Cierra Grodny, Natalie Gillespie, Nathan Gillespie, Joshua Gillespie, Miley Lindahl. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar, and Evelyn; beloved husband, Norman; sons, Norman Lindahl, Wayne Lindahl; grandson, James Lindahl; brothers, John Erickson, Howard Erickson; sisters, Helen Kile, Jean Link; companion, Mike Lasacco; daughters in law, Amelia Lindahl, Kathy Lindahl. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Peggy Perrin for her compassionate care as June’s friend, and caretaker. There will be a funeral service on Monday, May 1, 2023, at Highland Garden of Memories Chapel in Belvidere, IL beginning at 12:00 P.M. A visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Interment in Highland Garden of Memories. Memorials can be made to the family in June’s name.
