Karen Sylvia Powell, 85, of Belvidere, IL passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, IL. She was born on April 29, 1936 in Platteville, Wisconsin. The daughter of the late Charles and Thelma (Collins) Wilson. She married the love of her life, Clinton Powell on August 21, 1963 in Madison, WI. Karen enjoyed traveling the United States with her husband, listening to country music and watching her favorite TV shows. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. She is loved and will be missed by her children, Kathryn (Sam) Lampe, Linda Powell, Daniel (Theresa) Powell, and Patricia (John) Bottorff; grandchildren, Jeremiah, Dylan, Danessa, Kevin, Jack, Stephanie, Christine, Michael; great grandchildren, Brooke, Destiny, Savannah, Micha; brothers; sisters; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents; beloved husband, Clinton; siblings; grandson, Austin; granddaughter Marie, great great grandson, Aiden.
