Kathleen Sullivan

Kathleen “Kathy” Ann Sullivan, 65, of Belvidere, IL, passed away due to an illness in her home on November 30, 2023. Kathy was known for her gracious “Sullivan” heart, devout faith, cheerful spirit, sharp wit, and entertaining storytelling. She is survived by her brother, Dennis (Laura) Sullivan, and their daughter Clarita; sister, Darlene Gunsteen; niece, Kelly (Robert) Hritz, and their children Robert and Ali; niece, Lisa Teunissen, and her children Brianna, Brayden, and Bryson; nephew, Robert (Danielle) Gunsteen, and their children Stassi and Jensen; nephew, William Gunsteen; nephew, Joseph (Valeria) Grana, and his children Joseph and Haley. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleland, and Irene Sullivan; step-mother, Celeste Sullivan; brothers, Cleland and James Sullivan; sister, Patricia Runnels; brother-in-law, Robert Gunsteen. Family and friends are invited to the visitation at Belvidere Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 203 Logan Ave, Belvidere, IL, at 9:30 AM on December 9, 2023. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. James Catholic Church, 402 Church St, Belvidere, IL, beginning at 11:00 A.M. to reminisce and honor the life of Kathy. Interment will take place at St. James Catholic Cemetery in Belvidere, IL. Memorials can be made to the family in Kathy’s name.
