Obituary

Kay Lucille Larson, 78, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023. She was born November 28, 1944, to the late Marion (Bill) Keil, and Dorothy (Bennick) Woltz. Kay was loved and will be deeply missed by her brother Kenneth Keil; son, Ryan (Robyn) Larson; daughter, Stephanie (Michael) Bach; grandchildren, Kyle Larson and Nate Larson; furbaby, Deogee; grand fur-babies, Bella, Marley, Breesy, Isabel; best friend, Linda Wicke; and many nephews and cousins. Kay is proceeded in death by her parents, Marion and Dorothy; and sister-in-law, Mindie Keil. Kay moved back to Illinois in 2020 after having lived in Severville, TN for 7 years. She loved the Smokey Mountains, but wanted to be closer to her kids and grandkids. Kay loved animals. She always told her kids if she ever won the lottery, she would buy a huge plot of land so she could rescue an entire shelter. She was passionate about football (NFL - Bears), watching her grandkids play baseball, shopping for antiques, being outside watching animals, watching crime documentaries, and completing word search puzzles. A Celebration of Life event is being planned and details will be shared by her children once finalized. Memorials can be made to the family in Kay’s name.
