Kyle Johnson

Kyle Ellis Johnson, 36, of Belvidere, Il passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023. He was born on May 28, 1986, in San Diego, CA. Kyle was a young, free spirited, concert going junkie, that lit up the room. Heck, he lit up the world! Kyle enjoyed the outdoors. He loved hiking, fishing, attending Cubs games, and walks across town to grab a meal. To Kyle’s friends, he was the world. To Kyle, his friends were the world. They were his family, and YOU, yes YOU the one reading this, you were his best friend. That’s how he treated each friendship, that they were his best friend. He cherished every single relationship. Kyle was genuine, he was loyal, and he was a deep thinker that believed in a place so much larger than what this place had to offer. Kyle is loved and will be deeply missed by his mother, Susan Hurst; sisters, Michelle Merritt, Breann Maynes; brother, Charley Huston; paternal grandmother, Judith Cornwell; maternal grandmother, Shirley Hurst; Uncles, Reid (Suzi) Bullard, Mike Bullard, Joe (Helen) Hurst; Aunts, Nancy (Mike) Jackson, Dani Cornwell Klaus, Charmaine (Todd) Larson, LouAnne Workman; nieces, Angelina Medina, Sophia Medina, Ezmarelda Robles; nephew, Elijah Robles; and several cousins, second cousins, and many many friends. Kyle was preceded in death by his father, Matt Johnson; cousin, Colton Gritzmacher; grandparents, Phillip and Betty Jane Johnson, Van Hurst and Lynn Bullard. A Celebration of Life will be held for Kyle on Saturday, January 14, 2023, from 2:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at The American Legion Boone Post #77 in Belvidere, IL. Memorials can be made to the family in Kyle’s name.
