Lanny Baxter Obituary

Lanny C. Baxter,61,of Belvidere passed away Sunday February 24,2013 at
Swedish American Hospital,Rockford. He was born April 10,1951 in Belvidere
the son of Calvin L. and Betty D. (Houk)Baxter. Graduated from Belvidere High School in 1969. He worked as an expediter for UPS at the air hub in Rockford. Lanny was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman,he was a member of the Hawg Hunters Fishing Club and the Ultimate Bass Club. He enjoyed driving and maintaining his 1982 Black T-Top Corvette.. Also an avid N.I.U. Husky fan and Chicago Bears fan.

He is survived by his son,Chad E. (Stacie)Baxter,Fishers,In. Grandchildren,Trey & Nyle Baxter.
Brothers,Leroy R.(Patricia)Baxter,Belvidere.,RandyL.Baxter,Belvidere.Niece,Janae(Bob)Woods,nephew,Hunter Woods. Preceded in death by his parents,niece,Jody Lynn Baxter. Funeral service Friday March 1,2013 at 12:00 p.m. in Belvidere Funeral Home with Rev. Alan R. Buss officiating. Interment Highland Garden of Memories. Visitation Friday at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established in his memory.
