Leroy Henry Gresser, 88, of Belvidere, IL, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 4, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born July 20, 1936, in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The son of Christian and Carolyn (Wolfe) Gresser. He graduated from Cudahy High School in Milwaukee, WI. Leroy then served our country in the United States Army during the Cold War. He married the love of his life, Barbara Duszynski on November 14, 1964, at St. John Kanty Church in Milwaukee. He retired after 50 years as a supervisor for Cooper Lighting in Elk Grove Village. Leroy enjoyed gardening, watching the Green Bay Packers and spending time with his family. He is loved and will be missed by his beloved wife of 60 years, Barbara; daughter, Emily (Mark) Reckamp; grandchildren, Sophia and Geoffrey Reckamp; sisters, Renee, Kathy, and Joan. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Joe, Andrew; sister, Judith; Golden Retriever, Levi. There will be a visitation from 9:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. Friday, January 10, 2025, at the Belvidere Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Belvidere, IL. A funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 A.M. at St. James Catholic Church in Belvidere, IL. There will be a second visitation Saturday, January 11, 2025, from 9:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. in the chapel at St. Adalbert Cemetery in Milwaukee, WI. Entombment in St. Adalbert Cemetery at 11:30 A.M.
