Lillian Catherine Kirkland

Lillian Catherine Kirkland, 88, of Garden Prairie, IL, passed away peacefully Friday, March 21, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born March 13, 1937, in Hebron, IL. The daughter of Clarence C. and Marion (Brenneka) Hilton. She graduated from Hebron High School. Lillian loved to feed her birds and animals. Especially her donkey, Pokey. She enjoyed arts and crafts, garage sales, and the Boone County Fair. She liked to mow her lawn and be outside. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and traveling with her husband. She is loved and will be missed by her beloved husband, Jim R. Kirkland; children, Donna (Dan) Kundert, Lynn Fischer, Randy (Ewa) Fischer, Cindy Smith (Mark Cates), Susan (John) Fish; stepsons, Kenneth (Val) Kirkland, Roger (Lisa) Kirkland, Jimmie Kirkland Jr; 20 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, April; brother, Jim Hilton; sister, Kathy Wisniewski. She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband, Donald Hix; daughter-in-law, Cindy; son, Danny Fischer; brother Larry Hilton, brother-in-law, Mike Wisniewski. There will be a visitation Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. There will be a celebration of life at 12:00 P.M. Inurnment in Belvidere Cemetery in Belvidere, IL.
