Lillian S. Verhagen

Lillian Verhagen 75, of Cherry Valley died Sunday, March 24, 2013 at the Maple Crest Care Center. She was born August 9, 1937 in Rockford, IL the daughter of the late Ernest & Emma (Payton) Diebold. She married Howard Verhagen on June 30, 1956; he died January 22, 1991. She enjoyed crocheting. Lillian is survived by her 3-daughters; Donna (Kenneth) Dean of Belvidere, Diane Pride of Rockford, & Darlene Sue (Bruce) Lindberg of Belvidere; 6-sons, Robert (Vivian) Verhagen of Poplar Grove, Walter (Annette) Verhagen of Belvidere, Ron (Jackie) Verhagen of Machesney Park, Wayne (Bonnie) Verhagen of Cherry Valley, Jerry (Lori) Verhagen of Belvidere & Lester Verhagen of Cherry Valley; 2-brothers, Ernie & J.D. Diebold of Rockford; 15 grandchildren; & 8 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Betty Jean, son John, granddaughter Nicole, and 2-sisters Grace Diebold & Maude Turville, Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the Belvidere Funeral Home from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by a graveside service at the Belvidere Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established in her memory.
