Lois Jane Swenson

Lois Jane Swenson, 84, of Belvidere, IL, passed away peacefully Tuesday, February 25, 2025. She was born March 24, 1940, in Portage, Wisconsin. The daughter of William August and Isabell Marie (White) Kaschub. She graduated from Belvidere High School. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, was a former guild member (past president), and was a Sunday school teacher. Lois was the Boone County Coroner from 1988 to 2007, where she worked very hard to help families during the hardest times of their lives. She was also active in the Belvidere Woman’s Bowling Association, the Business and Professional Woman’s Club, Boone County Republican Club, Illinois Corners and Medical Examiners Association, and Former Girl Scout and 4-H Leader and Advisor. She is loved and will be missed by her daughter, Susan Tolsma; son-in-law, Byron Elliott; grandchildren, Adam Lee, Ashley (Bryan Peacock) Lee, Sherri (Shaun) Taylor; great- grandchildren, Aaliyah Taylor, Camryn (Alexys) Taylor, Jillian Taylor, Aaron Taylor,  Raven Lee, Caston Simpson, Zuri Peacock, Silas Peacock; great-great-grandchildren, Parker Johnson, Piper Buse, Easton Buse, Ceveyn Taylor. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughters, Jean Elliott, and Mary Lee; brothers, Carl, LeRoy, and Paul Kaschub; companion, Ed Swenson.
