Margery Lou Hinrichs

Margery Lou Hinrichs,82 of Belvidere passed away Thursday September 27,2012
at Swedish American Hospital,Rockford. She was born April 14,1930 in Tallula,
Illinois the daughter of Harry G. and Elsie(Zuhlke)Hinrichs. In 1933 when Marge was three years old her mother passed away,her father then married Mary Elsa Bast who raised her to adulthood. She was preceded in death by her mother,her stepmother in 1966 and her father in 1990.She graduated from Tallula High School and from Illinois State with a B.S. Degree. She earned her M.A.
Degree from George Peabody College for Teachers in Nashville,Tn. Margery was the school Librarian in Newton,Il. and was the Librarian at Belvidere High School from 1954 to 1990,then was the Local History Librarian at Ida Public Library in Belvidere until retiring in 2011.She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. A member of the Zonta Club,The Belvidere Education Assoc.,Illinois Education Assoc.,National Education Assoc.,Delta Kappa Gamma. She was a dedicated supporter of the Belvidere High School and the Belvidere Bucs Football Team and was a B-Club Special Mom.She is survived by her brother,Wayne(Mary)Hinrichs,Tallula,IL.,Nephew,Todd Hinrichs,Tallula,several cousins,devoted friend and Parish nurse Vicki Pooley,Many loving friends in the Belvidere community. A special thank you to Laurie Regge for all her help to Marge in the past few months. Funeral Service Monday October 1,2012 at 7:00 p.m. in Belvidere Funeral Home,with Rev. Dr.Robert R. Kopp Pastor of First Presbyterian Church officiating. Visitation Monday at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until time of service. Interment Tuesday 12:00 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery in Petersburg,IL.
