Marian Lambert

Marian A. Lambert, 93, of Belvidere, IL passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Symphony Maplecrest in Belvidere, IL. She was born on October 28, 1928, in Chana, IL to the late William and Francis (Linde) Bolhous. She married the love of her life, William J. “Chow” Lambert on June 21, 1958, in Belvidere, IL. Marian’s life was one of service to others. She was a nurse at Swedish American Hospital and later, at Northern Illinois Hospice, providing patients and their families with loving care and comfort. She was an Illinois Master Gardener of the Year and used her talent volunteering at Maplecrest Care Center, The U of I - Boone County Extension Office, and the Salvation Army Community Garden. She tutored English as a second language and spent many years as an Election Judge. Immanuel Lutheran Church was her spiritual home of almost 65 years, where she served as a Sunday school teacher, a Stephens Minister and in Rainbows, a grief and loss program for children. She participated in the Garden Club, Helping Hands and Fellowship Committee. Marian is loved and will be deeply missed by her children, Susie (Scott) Williams, Libby (Mike) Robertson, William Lambert Jr, Bob Osterberg; grandchildren, Aami (Pat) Molloy, Allison (Andrew) Mannino, Benjamin (Sarah) Williams, Adam Williams, Rob (Megan) Osterberg, Tom Towns; great grandchildren, Addison Molloy, Delaney Molloy, Falyn Molloy, Madelyn Walker, Carter Walker, Savanna Osterberg, Zoe Williams, Samantha Osterberg, Iyla Osterberg, Hadleigh Osterberg; sisters, Bertha (Don) Kennay, Sylvia (Max) Newcomer, Verna Watts; brother, Lawrence (Doris) Bolhous. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Francis; beloved husband, William; daughter, Valerie Osterberg; granddaughter, Angela Osterberg Towns; brothers, Walter Bolhous, Willis Boulhous, Ralph Bolhous. There will be a funeral service on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Belvidere, IL beginning at 11:00 A.M with Rev. Braun Campbell and Rev. Keith Richard officiating. There will be a visitation from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service. Interment will be private at Highland Garden of Memories in Belvidere, IL. The family would like to give a special thank you to Abbie of St. Croix Hospice for providing comfort and care during our mother’s last days.
