Marjorie Jane Graves

Marjorie Jane Graves, 91, of Belvidere, IL, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Willows Health & Rehab Center in Rockford, IL. She was born on December 27, 1933, to Amery and Mable (Groth) Wahl. She graduated from Belvidere High School. Marjorie married the love of her life, George Graves April 16, 1955, in Belvidere, IL. She owned and operated Wahl’s Beauty Shop in Belvidere and then went on to become the Boone County Food Health Inspector from which she retired after 25+ years. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, flower gardening, and spending time with her family. Marjorie is loved and will be missed by her loving son, Gary Graves; sister, Karen Hays; niece, Julie (Elliott) Zobrist; great-nephew, Luke; cousins, Linda Lanphier, Lois (Jack) Wagner; several second cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband, George Graves, brother-in-law, John Hays. There will be a visitation Saturday, November 29, 2025, from 10:30 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at the Belvidere Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Belvidere, IL. A funeral service will begin at 12:00 P.M.
