Mark W. Curtis

Mark William Curtis, 75, of Caledonia, IL, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford. He was born May 27, 1945 in Belvidere, IL to the late Clyde W. and Mary (Keating) Curtis. He graduated from Belvidere High School in 1963 and later graduated from Northern Illinois University with his bachelor’s degree. Mark served our country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church. Mark was an avid history buff and was very interested in the Civil War. He also liked to watch sports when he was not working hard on the family farm. He is loved and will be missed by his loving sister, Judy Cadie; niece, Lisa (Keith) Cadie-Ahlstrom; great nephews, Joseph and Maxwell; aunt, Dorothy Sullivan; uncle, Bill Keating; numerous cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. There will be a visitation from 5:00 P.M. to 6:30 P.M. Monday, June 8, 2020 at the Belvidere Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Belvidere, IL. A Rosary will begin at 6:30 P.M. There will be a funeral Mass at 10:00 A.M.  Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at St. James Catholic Church in Belvidere, IL. Interment in Shattucks Grove Cemetery in Belvidere.
